What is a live auction like? Watch this.

Have you ever been to a live auction with an auctioneer? Four churches in McMinn County, Tennessee, came together to host a fall festival and auction to benefit the mission team. In July 2017, team members will travel to Seward, Alaska to host a Vacation Bible School for area children. They have to afford it first, and that's where the auction helped.

The event featured a local minister as our volunteer auctioneer. Randy Dodge (Randy Dodge Cowboy Ministries). He was taking bids and calling them out loud as fast as he could.Trying to keep up was as fun as it was difficult. You can see him in action in this video. It's a lot of fun!

The auction was the highlight of the fall festival. We could not have been successful without the help of a volunteer auctioneer and some great companies!

It was so much fun that our dog had to watch the videos! (He's at the end of the clip.)

Fall festival activities included music, pumpkin painting, music and a hot dog lunch. Pre-auction music was provided by the locally famous bluegrass group Just Us.

A six second look at some of the auction items.
